Providing the gift of sleep to breast cancer patients and survivors
HUNTINGTON STATION, N.Y. (PRWEB) SEPTEMBER 10, 2019
United Breast Cancer Foundation (UBCF) is bringing their popular Tempur-Pedic® Mattress & Pink Bag Event® to the Louisville, KY Breast Cancer community on October 20th. UBCF continues to work with Good360 to provide Tempur-Pedic® mattresses at no cost to breast cancer patients and survivors. The trusted Tempur-Pedic® mattress brand offers the comfort and support necessary to promote a good night’s sleep, something that is vitally important to the healing process and improving the quality of life for those touched by breast cancer.
On Sunday, October 20th UBCF will give away 368 twin and queen size mattresses to male and female breast cancer patients and survivors in Louisville, Kentucky. Children 18 or younger living at home with the applicant may qualify for items. An application must be submitted and approved in order to attend and receive items. Applicants do not need to live in Kentucky – people are encouraged to apply from surrounding states but must be able to pick-up their mattress on the day of the event. For more information please contact 877-822-4287 x 726 or email GIKProgram@ubcf.org.
UBCF’s Executive Director, Stephanie Mastroianni shared, “Louisville called and UBCF answered! We are so happy to bring UBCF’s awesome Tempur-Pedic® Mattress & Pink Bag Event® event to the deserving women and men of Kentucky!” Stephanie continued, “The gift of sleep is truly priceless and UBCF is honored to provide this gift to those in need.”
In addition to the Tempur-Pedic® mattresses, UBCF is giving away Pink Bags full of goodies. Cancer care is expensive. Very often large purchases, such as mattresses, and other daily necessities are delayed or abandoned due to mounting medical bills. UBCF, Tempur Sealy and Good360 are here to help!
The American Cancer Society estimates 3,670 women will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer this year in Kentucky. Early detection is critical to surviving the disease. UBCF encourages women and men to know their bodies and learn the self-breast exam to help recognize any changes.
