United Breast Cancer Foundation (UBCF) is hosting a free mattress distribution event in Kentucky, to support breast cancer patients and survivors. This charitable event is part of UBCF’s ongoing goal to provide tangible, life-improving resources to breast cancer patients and survivors nationwide.
The event will be held in Louisville, KY on November 22, 2025. Participants must be able to pick up their mattress in person at the designated location in Kentucky, but residency in the state is not required.
UBCF is offering free therapeutic queen size mattresses to qualified breast cancer patients and survivors. The mattresses will be distributed at no cost and must be picked up during the scheduled event timeframe.
UBCF understands the importance of rest and recovery during and after breast cancer treatment. This event aims to alleviate the financial burden of purchasing a new mattress while supporting health and healing.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are critical to a successful event! We have lots of opportunities for people to support the event – whether that’s event preparation (pre-event work), or support during event days!
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Event Preparation – assist with preparing inventory and admin assistance for the event.
- Mattress Loaders – here’s a fun chance to flex your muscles and move your body! We need able bodied people to help load mattresses on to vehicles. This is our greatest need!
- Traffic control – assist with guiding people and vehicles safely through designated event areas.
