UBCF Supports Children Directly Affected By Breast Cancer at Camp Lightheart

Since 2008, UBCF has been a proud supporter of the annual Camp Lightheart hosted at the Omega Institute. Camp Lightheart, produced by Breast Cancer Options, is a weekend camp dedicated for children ages 8 to 15 that are directly impacted by breast cancer – either a parent is managing breast cancer, is a survivor or has passed away from breast cancer.

Children are cared for by a group of very qualified counselors over the three-day weekend. Activities include arts and crafts, culinary exploration, dance and movement, group and individual theraputic work, fun and camaraderie in a safe and nurturing environment. UBCF looks forward to supporting Camp Lightheart for many years to come.

UBCF’s mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer and carries it out through seven life-supporting patient and family programs available to women, men and families nationwide. UBCF never denies services to anyone regardless of age, race, gender, ethnicity, income or medical insurance coverage. Tax-deductible contributions may be made towards UBCF’s programs.
