United Breast Cancer Foundation (UBCF) is proud to announce that it recently earned the GuideStar 2020 Platinum Seal of Transparency, proving UBCF’s commitment to breast cancer clients and loyal donors. Navigating the nonprofit world can often be confusing with a lack of transparency. GuideStar is home to the largest source of information on nonprofit organizations and has 13 million visitors a year. GuideStar Platinum encourages nonprofit organizations to share their progress and program results in important new ways to reflect the changes organizations are making in the world.
UBCF President and Executive Director, Ms. Stephanie Mastroianni stated, “The GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency rating is validation of the two decades of hard work and dedication UBCF has provided to our clients and the communities we work in across the country. In the past five years, UBCF has serviced more than 21,000 women, men and children through our seven programs. Additionally, we’ve reached over 10 million people through our numerous education and awareness campaigns.” Mastroianni went on to say, “This year UBCF celebrates 20 years of service. The GuideStar Platinum Seal is a testament to UBCF standing the test of time, adapting and changing through the climate of economic challenges and continued growth to provide support to the breast cancer community.”
GuideStar provides Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum seals to nonprofit organizations to help users better understand each organization’s commitment to achieving its mission.
