UBCF in the running to win a $1 million grant from Revlon to support women and men managing breast cancer

United Breast Cancer Foundation (UBCF), has joined the Revlon LOVE IS ON Million Dollar Challenge, a fundraising competition created to help charities supporting women’s health raise as much money as possible for their cause. Over the course of the six-week challenge, women’s health organizations will compete to raise as much money as possible. The charity raising the most funds will then win a $1 million grant from Revlon. Second place wins $100,000, third place wins $75,000, fourth place wins $50,000 and fifth place wins $25,000. Weekly Bonus Challenges enable charities to win up to another $175,000. The challenge begins September 14 and concludes on October 26, at 1:59 p.m. EST.
UBCF is competing to win an award to support the organizations mission; to make a positive difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer. UBCF offers programs to patients and family members as well as early detection services to women and men in need. UBCF is unique in the fact that much of the support offered is geared towards women and men managing breast cancer right now. Through the Individual Grant Program, UBCF offers customized financial support to ease the stress and strain that a breast cancer diagnosis can cause a patient and their family members. UBCF offers assistance with medical bills, treatments, holistic and complimentary care, medical insurance premiums, cost of living expenses (rent, utilities) prosthetic devised, transportation to and from treatment, as well as counseling and nutritional supplements. UBCF understands that children are impacted by breast cancer too – through the Child Sponsorship Program, UBCF offers healthy food, back to school items, counseling services and even holiday gifts.
