United Breast Cancer Foundation will once again be holding the annual Tempur-Pedic® Mattress Spring Donation event in mid-May on Long Island. Details of the event are still being fine tuned, but client information is currently being accepted for the waiting list at UBCF offices.  A limited number of twin, double, and queen mattresses will be available, for free, this year, as well as certain household items, new spring clothes, personal care products and beauty supplies.

UBCF trusts the Tempur-Pedic(R) mattress brand to assist in achieving a good night’s sleep. Restoration during sleep is very important in the healing process of patients and survivors of breast cancer. Very often purchasing simple household items, like new mattresses, new sheets and bedding, and small appliances is delayed because of mounting medical bills. All of these items provided by UBCF help contribute to the continued health and wellness of our clients.

This is UBCF’s third mattress event in the past 12 months, and the second on Long Island. UBCF continues to gain new donation items, helping to increase the number of women, men, and families affected by breast cancer serviced with each event. In addition to these seasonal mattress opportunities, UBCF also offers a large selection of household goods and baby items at our headquarters in Huntington Station. UBCF is always looking for volunteers to help with these programs.

An appointment is necessary to receive a mattress. Please call 877-822-4287 x 702, or email beth@ubcf.org to apply.
